College Staff member Lisa Johnsen Littlejohn to be celebrated at campus memorial

Lisa LittlejohnLisa Johnsen Littlejohn 65, passed away Friday, March 30, 2018 at her home in Oakland, California.

Lisa was born in Oakland, California on December 24, 1952 to Robert and Lenore Johnsen. She was a lifelong resident of the Bay Area and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 1977. She met her husband while attending U.C. Berkeley. After graduation, Lisa started working at Sleepy Hollow Elementary School. She transitioned to Diablo Communications when it was a small business in Orinda, and continued with the company as it grew and moved to Point Richmond. She later moved to the University of California system, first at the U.C. Office of the President in Oakland, and then to the Chemistry Department at U.C. Berkeley, where she worked as an administrative specialist for Professor Phill Geissler. 

Growing up, she went on bird watching trips with her father and developed a love of nature and animals. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved the ocean. She especially enjoyed beachcombing and collecting shells. She had a passion for cooking and collecting art objects.

Lisa is survived by her husband David Littlejohn, her sisters Katie Johnsen of Tucson, Arizona and Barbara Scott of Orinda, California, and niece Emily Elmer and nephews James Scott and Sam Elmer.

Lisa will be celebrated at the campus memorial service on September 10th. More information is available here.
