About

The UC Berkeley College of Chemistry is thrilled to announce its 2027 Summer Undergraduate Research Diversity (SURD) program for undergraduate students interested in Chemistry, Chemical Biology and/or Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering.

Details

  • 10 Weeks (June 7-August 13, 2027)
  • 40 hours/week
  • $6000 stipend
  • Housing, Food & Travel Allowance provided

Who

  • We aim to provide research opportunities for students who have been historically underrepresented in STEM.
  • Undergraduates from HBCU's and HSI's are encouraged to apply!
  • Undergraduates from 4-year universities & community colleges are encouraged to apply!
  • Must be 18 & over
  • No prior experience necessary!
