Igniting a passion for science at the Morello STEM Fair

May 1, 2026

Students and faculty were happy to trade the labs of Latimer Hall for the energy of the Morello PTG STEM Fair recently.

The College of Chemistry joined forces with local families and young scientists to celebrate a day of discovery and curiosity. Our graduate students and faculty had a literal blast showcasing the wonders of science through live demonstrations. Events like these are at the heart of our mission. By bringing Berkeley's world-class science into our local communities, we hope to spark the same passion in these students that drives our own research every day.

Check out some of the highlights below. A huge thank you to the Morello PTG for hosting us and to all the students who showed us that the future of STEM is in very capable hands.
