Kwabena Bediako honored at third annual Philomathia Day

The third annual Philomathia Day took place on Friday, Jan. 31, and honored 2024 Philomathia Prize recipient Associate Professor Kwabena Bediako. The event, themed, "Quantum at the Macroscale," was an exploration of how chemists and physicists are leveraging the emergent properties of molecules and crystals.

Guest speakers included Danna Freedman, Frederick George Keyes Professor of Chemistry, MIT; Hemamala Karunadasa, Associate Professor of Chemistry, Stanford University; Xavier Roy, Professor of Chemistry, Columbia University; and James Analytis, Professor and Kittel Chair of Condensed Matter Physics, UC Berkeley.
