Bergman to be honored at 2014 Reactions Mechanism Conference

October 29, 2013

Chemistry professor Robert Bergman will be honored for his "achievements and contributions to organic chemistry" at the 2014 Reaction Mechanisms Conference. The conference will be held the week of June 22, 2014, at UC Davis.

The celebration in Bergman's honor will include one or more sessions with presentations by former students, post-docs and other close collaborators that will include a mix of reminiscing about old days along with discussion of new frontiers.

The Reaction Mechanisms Conference has held a position of long-standing significance in mechanistic chemistry since its founding sixty-two years ago. The RMC resembles a Gordon Research Conference in both size and format.

At the conference, discussion and sharing of ideas at the forefront of the field has always been the style. Subjects traditionally include organic, organometallic, inorganic and biological studies with significant mechanistic implications.
