CBE supports a welcoming, inclusive, and empowering space for neurodivergent students. Neurodiversity describes the breadth of differences in neurological wiring that make up the population; some examples of neurodivergent conditions are ADHD, autism, Tourette’s syndrome, and OCD. This list is not exhaustive, and any brain-based difference that both associated strengths and challenges is considered neurodiversity.
To help ensure your success in the department and at UC Berkeley more generally, these are resources – both social and academic – that neurodivergent students and their advisors may like to be aware of:
-
Disabled Students’ Program Webpage: If you are an undergraduate or graduate student seeking DSP services for the first time, please complete the application process to get started.
-
Cal TRiO is dedicated to supporting Cal students with disabilities with higher-touch services, events, and enrichment workshops that cultivate a sense of belonging for TRiO students as well as develop the necessary skill sets to achieve their goals.
