Raina Kasera is a junior from Princeton, NJ. She joined the Undergraduate Gift Campaign because of her desire to help the CoC community connect and provide more resources and support for students. Outside of her time with the UGC, Raina is passionate about the intersection of chemistry, biology, and computation and has spent the past summers researching drug development and design in the pharmaceutical industry. On campus, she is a member of the Alanna Schepartz lab where she studies how proteins control the flow of chemical information through cellular membranes in order to understand how to deliver drug-resistant EGFR into cells. She also serves as an officer of the American Chemical Society (ACS) at Berkeley and leads the California ACS section's Younger Chemists Committee. In her spare time, Raina enjoys coming up with new recipes, exploring new cities, and meeting new people.
