Three CBE students have received awards at the Undergraduate Student Poster Competition at the 2013 AIChE Annual Student Conference, held in conjunction with the institute's national conference, Nov. 3-8, in San Francisco.
The award recipients were Steven Chavez (Class of 2014), Woo Yong Choi (Class of 2015) and Rahul Batra (Class of 2016). More than 250 students from universities in the United States and abroad presented their research posters, which were judged by professionals from both academia and industry.
Choi took first place in the Catalysis and Reaction Engineering category, Batra placed second in the Environmental Science and Engineering category, and Chavez placed third in the Materials Engineering and Sciences category.
