The IGI has awarded one of its first two Entrepreneurial Fellowships to Benjamin Oakes, a joint graduate student in the Doudna and Savage labs. Benjamin Oakes plans to improve CRISPR gene replacement. Also receiving the award is Dr. Alex Schultink, who will use the EFP funding to find disease resistance genes in plants.
