The College of Chemistry and the student group NODE (Normalization of Diversity and Equity) is pleased to announce the opening of the Celebrating Diversity Lounge (or CD Lounge) located in B52 Hildebrand. The lounge was opened officially on May 26th for use by Chemistry graduate students. The College is grateful to NODE leadership, Marisol Navarro, Abigail Hinojosa, Julia Martin, and Angel Gonzalez-Valero for advocating for and creating this space.

Celebrating Diversity and Supporting Students

This room was designed with the purpose of celebrating diversity and supporting Chemistry graduate students from historically excluded groups with a space separate from labs. NODE hopes that everyone will join them in utilizing the space as a meeting place, location for events, another workplace, and a lounge while keeping the original purpose of the lounge in mind.
