William Lester: Lifetime achievement award

Dr. William Alexander Lester, Jr was recently selected for the Lifetime Achievement Award for 2019 and as Top Chemist Educator of the Year for 2018 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) for his outstanding leadership and commitment to the field.

Mars Mariner mural installed in Pimentel Hall

June 11, 2018

A spectacular new mural was installed this week in the lobby of Pimentel Hall at UC Berkeley’s College of Chemistry. Celebrating the College’s involvement in NASA’s Mars 6 and Mars 7 Mariner missions, the mural is part of an exhibit that explains how two infrared spectrometers were built at the College of Chemistry and then traveled to Mars.

Christiane Stachl wins Outstanding Student Leadership Award
