Current Job: Process Engineer at Merck, New York, NY
Zach grew up in the Bay Area and was introduced to the biotech industry early on. He earned his B.S. in Chemical and Biological Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2020 and began his career at Inscripta, where he contributed to the development of an automated genetic engineering platform. After completing the MBPE program in 2023, he joined Moderna’s Process Commercialization team in Boston, supporting the scale-up of rare disease therapeutics. In 2025, he moved to New York City and joined Merck’s Global Engineering Solutions team, where he is currently helping design and launch a new clinical-scale biologics manufacturing facility. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and pets, traveling, and skiing.
