Undergraduate Information: News and Dates: Important Dates - Fall 2008

For College of Chemistry Undergraduates
April 14 - July 15 Tele-BEARS Phase I - During this phase you may enroll in up to 10.5 units
July 17 - August 17 Tele-BEARS Phase II - During this phase you may enroll in the remainder of your courses
August 15 Deadline for payment of registration fees
August 18 Tele-BEARS Adjustment Period begins
August 27 Instruction Begins
September 1 Labor Day Holiday
September 5 Deadline to drop Early Drop Deadline (EDD) courses
After September 5 There is a $10 fee for dropping a course
After September 12

Course drops and grading option changes must be submitted via petition to your staff adviser in 420 Latimer Hall.

Course adds that have been approved by your staff adviser can still be processed using Tele-BEARS.

There is a $5 fee for adding a course.
September 22 - 25 IMPORTANT!  Look at your class schedule on Bear Facts to verify that you are enrolled in the correct courses

Deadline to change grading option from P/NP to letter grade

IF YOU DROP A COURSE AFTER THIS DATE (VIA DEAN'S EXCEPTION), A PERMANENT NOTATION WILL APPEAR ON YOUR TRANSCRIPT
October 31 Deadline to change grading option from letter grade to P/NP
November 11 Veterans Day Holiday
November 27 - 28 Thanksgiving Holiday
December 10 Instruction Ends
December 13 - 20 Final Exams
