| January 15 | Deadline for payment of registration fees |
| January 16 | Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday |
| January 17 | Instruction Begins |
| January 27 | Deadline to drop Early Drop Deadline (EDD) courses |
| After January 27 | There is a $10 fee for dropping a course |
| February 3 | Deadline to declare Spring 2012 degree candidacy without a fee. Fee thereafter, $5. |
| After February 3 | Course drops and grading option changes must be submitted via petition to your staff adviser on the 4th floor of Latimer. Course adds that have been approved by your staff adviser can still be processed using Tele-BEARS. There is a $5 fee for adding a course. |
