Important Dates - Fall 2009

For College of Chemistry Undergraduates
April 13 - July 14 Tele-BEARS Phase I - During this phase you may enroll in up to 10.5 units
July 16 - August 16 Tele-BEARS Phase II - During this phase you may enroll in additional courses
August 15 Deadline for payment of registration fees
August 17 Tele-BEARS Adjustment Period begins
August 26 Instruction Begins
September 4 Deadline to drop Early Drop Deadline (EDD) courses
After September 4 There is a $10 fee for dropping a course
September 7 Labor Day Holiday
September 11 Deadline to declare Fall 2009 degree candidacy without a fee. Fee thereafter, $5.
After September 11 Course drops and grading option changes must be submitted via petition to your staff adviser in 420 Latimer Hall.

Course adds
that have been approved by your staff adviser can still be processed using Tele-BEARS.

There is a $5 fee for adding a course.
September 21 - 24 IMPORTANT!  Look at your class schedule on Bear Facts to verify that you are enrolled in the correct courses
September 25 Deadline to add courses

Deadline to change grading option from P/NP to letter grade

Deadline to drop non-EDD courses

IF YOU DROP A COURSE AFTER THIS DATE (VIA DEAN'S EXCEPTION), A PERMANENT NOTATION WILL APPEAR ON YOUR TRANSCRIPT
October 30 Deadline to change grading option from letter grade to P/NP
November 11 Veterans Day Holiday
November 26 - 27 Thanksgiving Holiday
December 4 Formal Classes End
December 7-11 Reading/Review/Recitation Period
December 12 - 19 Final Exams
