Osaka University will hold a forum on bio-environmental chemistry in San Francisco on December 8th-10th at the Milton Marks Conference Center.
Sponsored by the university's Global Center of Excellence program, the forum strives to help realize "a sustainable society in which both mankind and nature can co-exist and to lead toward a solution to environmental problems."
The forum will bring together researchers from three different programs — Osaka's Global Education and Research Center for Bio-Environmental Chemistry, the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory's Helios Project, and the National Science Foundation's Powering the Planet Center for Chemical Innovation (CCI Solar).
Five College of Chemistry faculty members will speak at the forum — John Arnold, Chris Chang, Jeff Long, John Newman, and Don Tilley.
The forum is open to faculty, students and members of the public, but registration is required. Information is available here:
