Bell wins AIChE's Walker Award
Chemical engineering professor and chair Alexis T. Bell is the recipient of the 2005 AIChE William H. Walker Award for Excellence in Contributions to the Chemical Engineering Literature. The prize is in recognition for his "for pioneering the application of quantum methods to elucidate the siting and
reactivity of exchanged cations in zeolites and the detailed pathways of
chemical reactions."
The award will be presented at the AIChE annual meeting in Cincinnati next November.
