Fleming wins Porter Medal for Photochemistry

Graham Fleming, Professor of Chemistry and Director of the LBNL's Physical Biosciences Division, was selected by the photochemical societies of Europe, Asia, and the Americas to receive the Porter Medal in honor of Fleming's life-long work in the field of photochemistry. It is presented every two years on the occasion of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) symposium. The 2004 medal will be awarded to Fleming this July during a ceremony in Spain.
