Somorjai to receive the F.A. Cotton Award

Chemistry Professor Gabor Somorjai will receive the 2003 F.A. Cotton Award for Excellence in Chemical Research on March 21st, 2003 at Texas A&M University's Clayton Williams Jr. Alumni Center.
The Texas A&M University Section of the American Chemical Society and the Department of Chemistry annually award a gold medal in the name of F. Albert Cotton, a Distinguished Professor of Chemistry at Texas A&M, to a chemist of international distinction.

Somorjai has an award-filled year, including the awarding of The National Medal of Science and being named a University Professor.
