The CCHEM Grid is the collection of clusters and other resources for distributed (scientific) computing with the College of Chemistry at Univeristy of California at Berkeley
Currently, most computationaly intensive systems are either standalone systems, or clusters, all of which operate independantly of each other in terms of both project scope and administration. Beginning in 2003 the Research Computing group is beginning to assemble these peices into a larger grid in order to streamline support and shift load where resources (and policies) permit.
