The Information Systems staff supports the users of the College of Chemistry for a wide range of technology issues. Our primary goals are to provide support for basic IT & security issues on Windows and Macintosh Operating Systems, licensing for common software suites, and assistance with network and phone related problems
As announced by Dean Mathies, each member of the College of Chemistry will be provided with a basic tier of support. This service offers phone and email support for common computer issues as well as suggestions on equipment replacement. The basic tier also covers phone and network related issues in which we will help place new orders for service, modify existing installations, and provide assistance with trouble tickets. Information Systems also offers a higher tier of support that includes system maintenance, disk storage space on a safe & secure file server, and nightly backups of user data.
