How to Join the Industrial Friends Program
Membership in the College of Chemistry Industrial Friends Program is open to any firm, regardless of size or location.
- A company may become an Industrial Friend of either Berkeley Chemistry or Berkeley Chemical Engineering for an annual contribution of $15,000 in unrestricted funds, departmental fellowship funds, start-up funds for non-tenured faculty or NSF CAREER grant support, or support for facilities.
- A company with interests in both departments may become an Industrial Friend of the college for an annual contribution of $30,000. These funds are administered by the departmental chairs or the dean.
- A company with an interest in a specific research program or faculty member may become an Industrial Friend by contributing $50,000 for a sponsored research project.
