Almost 500 participants gathered to hear Professors Steven Chu and Paul Alivisatos and Dr. Meyya Meyyappan discuss the future of nanotechnology, in the first of nine planned panel discussions on this topic. v Paul Alivisatos is the Chancellor's Professor of Chemistry and Materials Science at the University of California, Berkeley . In addition, he was appointed Director of the Materials Sciences Division at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
v Stanford professor and Nobel Laureate Steve Chu and Berkeley professor Alivisatos
v Steven Chu is the Theodore and Frances Geballe Professor of Physics and Applied Physics at Stanford University. He is a Co-Recipient of the Nobel Prize in Physics, 1997 and was formerly the Chair of the Physics Dept. at Stanford.
v Dr. Meyya Meyyappan is the Director of the NASA Ames Center for Nanotechnology (NACNT) as well as a Senior Scientist.
